From Long Beach, CA, attended Lowell Elementary School and Rogers Middle School, before attending Wilson High School. Played baseball and soccer freshman year, then became three-year starting shortstop on the varsity baseball team. Played travel ball for the CBA Bears with coach Patrick Murphy. Named varsity defensive player of the year sophomore and junior year at Wilson, and named to First Team All-Moore League Junior season in 2023.
